Seminar “Tracce visuali, linguaggi artistici, nuove mappe”
On the occasion of the seminar “Tracce visuali, linguaggi artistici, nuove mappe” organised by Tracce Urbane, Università IUAV – Venezia, Alessandro Carboni,keynote speech for the session “Artscape: pratiche artistiche di ricerca urbana”, will open the discussion with “Performing Urban Complexity”, the day 19th June, 9.30 am, palazzo Badoer, Venezia.
During his speech, Alessandro Carboni will introduce the key principles of his art practice from the definition of his “EM_method”, a method by which Carboni, artist / performer, researcher and teacher, investigates, analyzes the law and complexity of the relationship of city with body. This method, which forms the basis for his work, provides an important point of reference in a wide-ranging debate about the process of creation, representation and perception of urban space in the arts. In order to understand how EM_method operates, Carboni will explain the process and some key element of two recent project which he developed in Italy: Remapping Extreme Lands# Gagliano del Capo, and Rethinking Human Energies#Guilmi.
